Craig Bradshaw dropped a game-high 24 points on Friday, as No.11 Winthrop defeated the No.6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 74-64 in their first-round game in the Midwest region of the NCAA tournament at Spokane Arena.
The Eagles were 3.5-point road underdogs, and the 138 combined points were UNDER the posted total of 149.
Torrell Martin was 8-for-19 for 20 points, and Chris Gaynor added eight for the Eagles.
Colin Falls was 2-for-10 from three-point land for 14 points, with Rob Kurz notching 13 points on 5-for-5 shooting for the Irish. |
