The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers produced a first-round NCAA upset by beating the Illinois Fighting Illini 76-72 Thursday night.
Western Kentucky won the game as a 5-point underdog, while the combined score made it OVER the posted total of 123.5.
Sergio Kerusch, and A.J. laughter added 14 points apiece in the win.
Trent Meacham had 18 points from 6-for-10 shooting in the loss for Illinois.
