Hasheem Thabeet tossed in 15 points and hauled down 13 boards for a double-double to lift the Connecticut Huskies to a 72-60 win over the Purdue Boilermakers in the NCAA West Regional semifinal Thursday night.
Connecticut covered the 7-point spread, but the 132 points went UNDER the posted total of 134.
Craig Austre had a game-high 17 points for Connecticut, and A.J. Price added 15 in the win.
Robbie Hummel collected 17 points for Purdue, while JaJuan Johnson had 15 points and seven rebounds in the loss.
